Description

Thalaiva Biryani Recipe

YOU WILL NEED:

Chicken/Meat 1 kg
Rice 1 kg
Water 1.3 liter
Curd 150g
Coriander 1 bunch
Mint 1/2 bunch
Green Chilies 7
Onions 4
Lemon 1
Ginger Garlic paste 4 tbsp
Oil 250 ml
Ghee 5 tbsp
Red chili 1 tbsp
BOOM THALAIVA BIRYANI INSTANT SPICE KIT 37G

DIRECTIONS:

1 SOAK:

Wash and soak rice for 30 Mins.

2 MARINATE:

Marinate chicken/meat with 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp red chili powder, 1 tbsp salt, 2 tbsp ginger & garlic paste, 1/2 lemon and 50 g curd for 1/2 hour.

3 MASALA PASTE:

Meanwhile, grind & paste 4 raw sliced onions with mint, coriander, 8-10 green chilis and 2 tbsp ginger & garlic paste.

4 COOK:

Take biryani pot; add 200 ml oil and 3 tbsp ghee, BOOM GRAVY MASALA WHOLE and masala paste; stir fry for 2 mins. Add 250ml water; Cook for 5 mins. Add BOOM GRAVY MASALA, marinated chicken, curd 150 ml and lemon 1/2; Cook for 25 mins until oil separates.

Add fresh coriander and mint; Mix well; Add 1 liter of water; Cook for 15 mins. Add soaked rice; Cook until water drained.

5 DUM:

Pout 2 tbsp ghee over rice. Garnish with fresh coriander & mint. Cover & cook on low flame for 10 mins. Mix & serve after 10 mins.

CHEF’S NOTE:

  • Adjust salt and Red Chili as per your taste.
  • To make onions crispy; thin slice and add pinch of salt.
  • Keep Left over oil used for frying onions.
