You Will Need:
Oil: As Needed
Butter: 1 tbsp
Water: As Needed
Sev Maker
Salt & Chilli: To Taste
Cooking Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare Dough
Add BOOM RAGI CHIPS MIX, Salt and Chilli (except oil & water) into a bowl.
Mix in 1 tbsp oil and slowly add water to form a slightly sticky dough.
Step 2: Press & Fry
Heat oil in a pan. Fill the dough into an Idiyappam Press/Sev Maker with a fine mould and press directly into hot oil.
Fry until golden and crisp. Drain.
Step 3: Season & Serve
Sprinkle BOOM SEASONING MIX, crush lightly, mix well — and enjoy!
Chef’s Note:
Adjust Salt and Chilli as per your taste.
Gradually add water little by little and knead into a smooth, soft and non-sticky dough.
Do not make it tight, let it be soft so that it is easy to squeeze.
It should be firm but pliable enough to roll thin.
You can even add some roasted Chana Dal and Roasted Peanuts for a nice crunch.
Add 1 tbsp Hot Oil before mixing Flour with water.
